Architects of the month – Jerusalem Design

The collaboration with the Jerusalem Design office was caused accidentally but since then it’s a love story that keeps on going. Jerusalem Design is a small but growing architectural & interior design office operating in Israel. We spoke with Chezi and Yoav about the creation of Jerusalem Design, our latest collaborations and more.

Do you remember your first visit to Artigiani?

In 2015 we were in the process of renovating a private home in Jerusalem. When we started to deal with carpentry, our customers were unimpressed with the variety of handles/Hardware Israel had to offer. After a few failed attempts with various suppliers, I ran into a small studio on Alfasi Street. As soon as I entered, I knew I had found my place.

What was the main reason to collaborate with the company?

For starters professional service. The whole team shows both mastery of the technical and design elements. Quick responses and flexibility with customer and designer/architect requirements. Secondly, the wide variety and quality of the products.

Tell me a little bit more about your work? your clients? your design?

JERUSALEM DESIGN (“JD”) is engaged in architecture, interior design and project management. JD focuses mainly on providing comprehensive services, but also provides separate services for designing and managing projects and collaborates with other designers and architects. JD believes in translating customer desires and a joint creation process. “The best idea wins” – we try to keep a “Zero ego office” policy and therefore the professionals and customers are always invited to express their opinion and their design vision. Aside from the clear emphasis of service, quality, and professionalism, JD believes strongly in the power of color exploration, and when possible and appropriate, we are in favor of showcasing a contemporary palate.
